Psychology Department Picnic at the Beginning of 2024: Enjoying Tourism and Education

Karanganyar, 02/03/2024 - The Department of Psychology at Yogyakarta State University (UNY) organized a picnic attended by its faculty and staff. The group departed from Yogyakarta at 6 a.m. and headed to Klaten for breakfast at Soto Haji Fatimah, a renowned soto eatery located in the Klaten area.

After breakfast, the group proceeded to the Tawangmangu tourist area. The first tourist attraction visited was the Jumog waterfall, which offers breathtaking natural scenery and refreshing fresh air. Picnic participants enjoyed relaxing time around the waterfall, taking photos, and appreciating the beauty of nature.

Next, the group had lunch at Ndoro Donker, a restaurant famous for its tea production. Here, the group also enjoyed the refreshing and invigorating signature tea of Ndoro Donker. After lunch, the group headed to Kemuning Skyhills, a tourist spot offering beautiful views from a height.

Lastly, the group visited Rumah Atsari Indonesia, a place that offers education about plants and perfumes produced at the house. Picnic participants learned about various types of plants and ingredients used in perfume making. The group also had the opportunity to try making their own perfume.

After a delightful day in Tawangmangu, the group left the area at 6 p.m. and returned to Yogyakarta. This picnic not only provided an opportunity for the faculty and staff of the UNY Psychology Department to relax and enjoy time together but also offered a chance to learn and gain new experiences.
